MELISSA (EGYPT) (MELISSA OFFICINALIS-LABIATAE)
Also known as lemon balm, it is a small herb native to Central and Southern Europe. Distilled from the leaves (contains 0.05% E.O.) and tops of the plant. It has a very aromatic, sweet, lemony smell. Melissa is uplifting and calming oil useful for tension, stress headaches and migraines.
PRINCIPAL CONSTITUENTS: Citral, citronellal (responsible for the lemony smell), geraniol, limonene, linalool and pinene.
PERFUME NOTE: Middle
USES: Nervous sleeping disorders.
CONTRAINDICATIONS/SIDE EFFECTS/INTERACTIONS WITH OTHER DRUGS: None known.
